Chick-fil-A Local Marketing
synopsis

The Chick-fil-A brand is renowned for its customer-centric approach. We often say that we are not just in the chicken business but in the people business. This philosophy is central to how we differentiate ourselves from our competitors, with local restaurant marketing being a key component. The Chick-fil-A brand is extended throughout the community through local marketing efforts, particularly through events such as in-store school spirit nights, school fundraising initiatives, and outreach with our cows in community events.

At Chick-fil-A Saxon & Deland, we’ve focused on expanding local marketing and improving partner communication for their fundraising efforts. The booklet and brochure designed offer clear, brand-aligned information, while our in-store efforts highlight seasonal and existing items in an engaging way for our guests and maintain clear communication with our team.

typefaces

The typeface used for the booklet and brochure was Helvetica. Since this was a customer-facing project, meaning it would be viewed by our target market, the typeface needed to closely match it's Chick-fil-A counterpart used throughout the promotional materials we create for the store.

booklet & brochure

The booklet served as the primary resource for informing Chick-fil-A Saxon & Deland’s community partners about fundraising opportunities, ensuring they had all necessary details, including contact information, with no confusion. Playful circular designs in signature brand colors reinforced Chick-fil-A’s identity while creating a friendly, welcoming tone. A complementary brochure, designed within the same visual system, provided a more compact and streamlined format for easy distribution. This secondary piece also offered flexibility to better tailor the message to our target market.

within the store & out

When I took my position at Chick-fil-A, I was most excited about creating designs that would be showcased both in-store and throughout the community.  It offered me the chance to develop a new visual system for our store within the confines of strict brand guidelines. I aimed to bring Chick-fil-A's bold and distinct brand personality into every piece, ensuring each design felt fresh and clear, placing care at the center of each one. I achieved this by maintaining a clean, refined aesthetic—using a crisp white foundation accented with Chick-fil-A Red for a striking yet polished look.

neighborhood mobile app

Chick-fil-A’s 2025 theme, Care on Every Occasion, emphasizes prioritizing guest care. To support this, new in-store systems were introduced to streamline operations, allowing teams to focus on hospitality. As part of this initiative, I had the opportunity to design Our Neighborhood, a mobile app that centralizes key store information, keeping Team Members informed and connected.
